| - I had my wedding gown altered at Labl, to take it down one size. Elizabeth was friendly and very matter of fact about the type of service she provided and expectations she had for her customers. She was for the most part accommodating to the changes I requested and to my feedback. My dress went from too big to a little too tight, I felt. Elizabeth said that was how this style was supposed to be. Overall it was okay, the dress didn't feel uncomfortable through the night. Also, we discussed the length of the dress. I felt it was a little too long, but she thought it was okay. She had me walk around the studio to see if I would trip on it, and I didn't. So we left it at that. However, when I went home I realized that I would definitely trip on the dress if I were dancing (swirling and etc). I had to trim it myself. I feel that an experienced wedding gown seamstress should know this and recommend a more appropriate length for her customers. Finally, as I was dancing toward the tail end of the night one of the sleeves (which I asked her to add) came off.
In terms of price, Labl wasn't cheap but wasn't exorbitant either, I paid around $500 for the alteration (reduce one size, add small sleeves, replace a zipper I am satisfied overall.
