  • Cien Agaves is one of my favorite places to go in the Old Town Scottsdale area, and definitely stands out to me as one of the best spots to go to for Mexican food and tacos :) the service has always been great, and it's in a great location -- just a little bit off the main Scottsdale road. As for the food, I can't say enough good things! They actually offer complimentary chips and salsa (I don't think enough places do anymore), and the salsa is delicious! Their Queso Verde appetizer is a must-have as well, my boyfriend and I tried it our first time here, and we have never not ordered it since. We love queso in general, but the slow roasted green chile pork they add is amazing :) I will say that the tacos here are a bit expensive, most are $4-$5 each. They're much better quality here than most taco places though, and are served with a ton of meat and cheese, not just filled with lettuce. My boyfriend and I have tried a ton of different ones, and they've all been really good. I also really like to order the Fajita Bowl with Chicken, I think this is the best way to get a lot for your money. The bowl is only $7 and comes with a ton of rice and veggies, and it's only $2-$5 to add meat. I definitely recommend trying this place if you're looking for Mexican food! Happy hour lasts till 7 which is nice for after work, and there's a ton of free parking. If you can't find a space right in front, there's a huge public lot not too far down the street.
