| - We had a week long staycation here, starting the weekend of the superbowl. Tahiti Village has everything you need in a home away from home. I'm not even exaggerating, even the smallest room comes equipped with plates, bowls, silver and grilling utensils amongst other homely needs. THERE WAS EVEN A BLENDER IN THE ROOM! The smoothie lover within was so excited!
We had the smallest room available, which is basically a studio apartment. Just two of us stayed there, but it's big enough for 4. There is a bedroom area with a door to separate from the living room area. Both areas have TVs, the living room area has a pullout sofa as well. The kitchen kind of joins in with the living room area... but it didn't feel cramped at all.
We used the strip shuttle to go to the strip without having to worry about parking. That shuttle is timely! My only complaint is that it does not make more stops to drop you off and that there isn't a stop downtown more often... but you can't beat free!
They have weekly activities that they give you a schedule for upon check in. Take advantage! They activities sound childish but I found them to be quite entertaining. I got to make a valentine's day bag for my boyfriend, enjoy a ice cream sundae, make sand art... yeah, definitely sounds like preschool but you're on vacation so enjoy yourself! Ha!
They have a pool and a lazy river that are opened year round. Both are heated. I didn't get to use the lazy river though because it was down for maintenance. I love lazy rivers so this was a downer for me... especially because our room overlooked it and I didn't see much maintenance happening. There are also two hot tubs available 24/7/365, one for kids and one for adults.
Tahiti Village is convenient to the strip and has the basic amenities that you'd need for an extended stay. The room was comfortable and the resort area was well kept. I only wish I had known about it before I moved here, when I used to travel frequently to the area.
