Came to Thelma's Filipino restaurant for an early lunch. I came really hungry. As we were the first ones to walk in, we were greeted hello.
We went with Thelma's special which was two scoops of rice and pork deep fried in pieces with onions and diced up tomato. Not impressed with this but more impressed with the four item combo we got which was Pancit, pork gisantes, pork shoyu, and pork adobo with rice. The Pancit was flavorful. Everything was good that I sampled. So delicious. The lumpia Shanghai was good too. My fave was the pork adobo. It was tender and soft. One of the best. Other places leave food under the heat lamps which makes the meat hard. This place makes your food fresh. For dessert, I went with halo halo special which has milk, shaved iced, sweet palms, Jack fruit, ube, and leche flan. I love this dessert and it sure hit the spot. I was full with this. The only issue with me was they give you two small scoops of rice. I love my rice and need it to accompany my main dishes but overall the food was good! My daughter and hubby had coco nana which was banana bread with coconut ice cream on top. I didn't sample this because halo halo was all mine.
Service was great by our waitress. She was also taking orders up front. You can have your food to go or dine in. I enjoyed dining in because they had TFC (The Filipino Channel) on. Very entertaining while you eat. I would definitely come back here to eat Filipino food if I was near the area.
