| - For a multiplex, suck out in the middle of not-quite-nowhere-but-not-quite-there-either, I like going out here sometimes. For the points of convenience of walking to a theatre downtown, I enjoy the stroll to the ScotiaBank Theatre (http://www.yelp.ca/biz/scotiabank-theatre-toronto). But if there isn't a time that suits or I just feel like a change of scenery, once again, location suits. Right off the Gardiner Expressway looms the Queensway.
It's a Cineplex Odeon complex with many screens, decently-sized theatres, and stadium seating, meaning you can relax in a large-backed chair. There's all the usual amenities that are there (popcorn, some fast food vendors), but the sound and the screens here seem to be slightly above the norm. Maybe I'm seeing all the right films there that require a large-scale sound system, but they seem to get it right.
You can take off directly afterwards, or hang out at one of the eateries at the base of the parking lot, but whichever, you'll have a decent time. Unless you're going to see something with Ben Stiller in it. Then you probably won't.
