| - Stop looking - Wedgewood Las Vegas is where you want to have your wedding.
Now, patience as I tell you about my personal experience that will undoubtedly convince you.
We made an appointment for a consultation and were emailed a confirmation that included directions as well as a questionnaire for us to fill out prior to our meeting. We met with Megan and after a tour, lengthy discussion of the venue and vendors, and definitely pricing - we signed ourselves up (over a year in advance) for October 23rd, 2016. We walked away with me happily clutching onto my personalized wedding binder that included information for all of the vendors, Wedgewood, and reminders for my follow up appointments.
This magical wedding binder has FAQs, wedding information, and even a timeline checklist of tasks you should have completed leading all the way up to your wedding day. We chose the package that came with two entrees, open well/call bar, a day-of coordinator, and so much more! We were also able to pick anything that we would want to take out of the package if needed, which was a great feature and reduced costs!
We selected the following Wedgewood vendors for our wedding day (separate reviews to come):
Floral - ACS Floral & Events (Ann Leonardo)
Music - DJ Sherdon
Cake - Freed's Bakery
During the months leading up to the wedding, Jacquelyn (the best wedding coordinator in the world) and I communicated via email, phone and met in person. She was patient as I brought all of my bridesmaids to have a tour of the facilities as I wanted them to understand how the wedding day would hopefully play out. We also received emails to come to their Open Houses, which we attended one and it was a great way for us to see what the vendors could really do as well as get a sampling of the appetizers we picked out for the reception.
As we got closer and closer to the date, there was more communication and then came our Final meeting where we really nailed down the details. Jacquelyn made fantastic notes of how I wanted the day to go, and we went over EVERYTHING. I walked away so happy and relieved!
Our ceremony rehearsal was the day before the wedding. We dropped off all of our extra decorations into labeled boxes and a few minutes into our rehearsal time, Jacquelyn came up to me and asked, "Would you like me to coordinate?" Oh my goodness, relief ran through me as soon as she whipped our party into shape and got everyone in their places. We ran through the rehearsal 3x so that I could feel confident. I loved watching how patient she was with our very shy ring bearer and got down to his little height when speaking with him to make him comfortable.
The day of the wedding, we came in early to utilize the bridal suite and she was already there anticipating our arrival. As soon as I stepped onto Wedgewood on my wedding day, I realized that I was about to marry the man of my dreams and started freaking out hoping that everything was going to go perfect. There was already champagne and glasses waiting for us in the bridal suite - they know me (and us) too well.
I was amazed to see that all of the decorations that we dropped off the day before were in their rightful places and they made it look so beautiful! My worries kept fading and fading away and I really started to enjoy my day. Even when there was a small hiccup with our table numbers, she came with the problem and a solution ready. Jacquelyn checked up on us throughout the time we were getting ready for the ceremony and even found me mints!
It is all about the details: wiping our bouquets down when they were pulled out of vase before handing it to us, constantly checking to see if we were doing okay or needed anything, and made sure we had champagne! That is what really made them stand out. My husband even commented that Jacquelyn handled the rowdy groomsmen with such grace and patience.
Leading more into the night, as Jacquelyn had to depart during the reception, she made sure to introduce us to our Banquet Captain, Martha, who would take care of us for the rest of the night. They both gave us thank you cards, such a nice touch! At the end of the night, Martha rounded up all of the decorations that were ours and even found some leftover wedding cake.
Our guests cannot stop RAVING about the wedding. They cannot stop talking about the beautiful venue (ceremony and reception space), delicious food, and fantastic bartenders that made great drinks for everyone. Really, the bartenders took great care of the guests.
Thank you Wedgewood, Jacquelyn, and Martha for making our day so perfect!
