I've been back a couple of times within the past year for long weekends, so it's time for an update. I'm taking it down a star, just because it seems like the resort has aged.
The staff is good and consistent. The rooms have remained the same and seem to need a face lift. The restaurant, well...it needs a pick me up. Il Terrazo seemed to be missing something, the menu seemed rather plain and simple (but for the price, should have been more).
The pool area is the best as always. The Mother of Pearl pool wins me over every time. There's nothing better than swimming and looking up at Camelback.
The Phoenician still has a special place in my heart, but maybe it's to try some of the other awesome resorts that Scottsdale has to offer.
