| - So let me start out by saying I have been struggling with weight issues on and off for about 10 years. In April of 2016 I had reached my heaviest weight that I had ever been. Tired all the time, depressed and frustrated with the lack of my own self motivation at typical gym. I decided to make a change. My cousin ( who is in the best shape of her life) had been going to Kanoa Strength Gym for about two years. She would constantly urge me to go, however I declined, convinced that I was "too out of shape" to work out at strength and conditioning gym. Well finally I had enough and decided to go. The warm up itself was challenging but after talking to Kanoa, his explanation of how the program works, his demeanor, overall professionalism,he truly makes you feel comfortable and encourages you to keep coming. Kanoa is the owner and the other trainer, Jesse, is just as knowledgable, supportive and patient.
I work 50/60 hours a week, the gym hours are completely flexible which is something that is so important. I hate feeling pressured to arrive at a gym for a specific time of when a class starts. The other patrons are amazing. Everyone is very friendly, supportive and the energy is overall GREAT!!! When I first began I had to do a modify version of almost every workout. Five months later, I'm lifting heavier, building my endurance and seeing results.
End of story, best decision I have ever made was to join this gym, only regret is that I didn't join sooner.
