  • I'm so angry that I lived down the street from this place for years and only just discovered it recently. Their crepes are SO so good. I tried the one that I believe was called "The Stuffed Goat" which was full of all of my favorite things. Arugula, beets, goat cheese, blueberries, and drizzled with honey! Cafe Avalaun is certified as a 100% gluten free food service - but I couldn't even taste a difference. In fact, I think it was better than any crepe I've had with gluten. Gluten free is usually not my thing, it's been my experience that gluten free products are bland and dry BUT THAT WAS NOT THE CASE HERE AT ALL. This meal truly screwed any preconceived notions I had, and I'm glad it did! The menu is really diverse and more than just crepes - breakfast, soup, salad, paninis, etc. I also sipped on one of their drink specials though I can't remember the name (a tea drink with turmeric) I will surely be back to sample more!
