Dirty is the word. The room wasn't vacuumed when I checked in. during the 6 days I was in that room it was never vacuumed. There was some sort of splatter on the bathroom wall (I wiped it off myself). On Day 6 they made me change to another room. When I got into the room I found toe nail clippings on the floor (out in the open where a vacuum would have picked them up), and there was some sort of splatter on the bathroom ceiling (again I wiped it off my self). During the remaining 3 days of my stay, the room was never vacuumed.
The hallways and one working elevator were dirty (that's correct, only one working elevator). The elevator had graffiti scratched into the door/walls. The back & side entrance areas are dirty & stained and the parking lot is messy. Breakfast Area: I often had to wipe the table before I used it and on several occasions there were ants on the table top.
The La Quinta brand is trying to market itself as a "business traveler" hotel but they clearly don't have a clue what that is. The staff dresses and acts like they work for a 2nd rate motor lodge. I have executive elite and diamond status with two other major chains so I know what a business traveler hotel should be like and this brand doesn't come close. The only reason I stayed here was because my company forced me to.
