Bread piled on bread next to pastries beside warm sandwiches and fresh salads with a mess of chocolate treats around ... what more do you want!
Had an afternoon treat with a friend here. Even though the seating area is small - you still have enough space to not hear what others are saying.
Counter service - friendly enough - attentive enough.
Some highlights:
Focaccia bread with cheese and tomatoes - warmed up and delicious.
Mango and Almost mini cake - light, balanced - with a buttery almond centre.
Cheese and spinach pastry - heated, gooey but not greasy (it's my fav!)
Two lowlights:
Ordered tea - and staff member first added cold water then topped it off with hot water. Umm..no, big big no. Barely warm, barely tasting tea... just no!
Get the croissants without cheese in the middle. Thick piece of cheese and a fluffy bread (not warmed) ... didn't really do it for me.
I still love the spot and with the variety of bread, cakes and treats ..there is always more to discover.
Last note: it'll probably be good to speak French more than English. It's in a French neighbourhood.
