| - Review of used car buying experience:
I came in on a Friday around 4pm looking to do some testing driving for a vehicle I saw on the Fairway website. I was greeted by James in the parking lot and he lead me to Jerry. You never know what kind of salesperson you are going to get when going to a dealership, but Jerry and I ended up being a perfect match. I went for a test drive and then I left because I had planned on test driving at some other locations. There was no sales pressure by Jerry or James when I told them I was continuing on my way.
I returned the next day to purchase said vehicle and met up with Jerry. We test drove the vehicle once more, he helped me while I completed my own "inspection" of the car inside and out. Don't want to buy a dud.
He was patient, helpful, positive, funny, and friendly- never once did I feel pressured by any team member I came across. Most seemed happy to be there and showed it with smiles, waves, and hellos.
Saturday was a busy day at Fairway. From start to finish I was there for 3 hours and 57 mins( yes, I timed it). They have vending machines, TVs, and comfy couches to help during the wait. I can say I am NOT a fan of their choice of music that they blare throughout the building.
I was given a fair offer for my trade in which I was pleasantly surprised because that poor thing was about to take its last breath.
They require a two year concierge agreement for $599. Ouch in my book, but every dealer is going to get you in their own way.
The final signing of the papers by the finance department was another pleasant and positive experience. Make sure not to get distracted by small talk or you may miss the fine print.
Karen from Concierge helped me set up bluetooth and Onstar. She explained all the buttons on my console which was a good thing but at that point all I wanted to do was just get in my new car and drive like the wind. Jerry gave me my old plates and I made sure all my possessions were out of the old car. I gave my Jeepy a few tearful hugs and I was on my way. I am sure to be back for maintenance services when they are due so hopefully the friendly service will continue at Fairway.
