| - Marisol is a great credit union. Friendly service. When I went through a divorce, they went above and beyond to help me refinance my auto loan to get the ex off the loan. There are some drawbacks to the place, and I had to leave for another credit union
1) The ATM network is now limited. You can get cash from shared branching Networks without fees, but you have to go inside and wait for a teller.
2) They switched debit card providers to a card that was flimsier. Not much of an issue if you keep it in a wallet or purse, but because of where I work, it's stays in my pocket a lot. The $10 fees for when they're cracked were adding up.
3) Unlike a bank, if someone uses your debit card for fraudulent charges, you don't get a credit while the investigation is pending. So if the thieves rack up some expensive online purchases, that could be an issue
4) They have limited branches. Their clientele is primarily Maricopa County employees, and the most convenient branch was shut down.
As I mentioned, their service when it comes to loans is outstanding. Even for the credit challenged. It's a good place to have a savings account should you need loan services. But it can be a bit challenging to have a checking account with them. If you're aware of the drawbacks and are okay with them, jump aboard.
