| - i'm always so... surprised that people order sushi from non-asian restaurants. tsk tsk. for shame! at any rate, i obviously had a MUCH better experience eating here than the other reviewers... possibly because i wasn't paying? jk! my parents took me here for my birthday back in april, as they've always had good experiences here. It's an interesting atmosphere, because it *can* be fancy-schmancy, but we didn't dress up at all.
our waiter was amazing... and i've never done this before, but i took his recommendation for the special, which was fire and ice salmon. OH.MY.GOODNESS. i grew up in Seattle, so let me tell you, i know a perfectly cooked piece of salmon when i see one. and it was just that. perfection! man! i love salmon.
my mom had the scallops something. who cares what they were called? they were fantastic! not undercooked, not overcooked - just melt-in-your-mouth perfect. my dad had the cioppino, which was chock full of perfectly cooked seafood. we were all satisfied and happy. and our waiter was so patient, explaining everything to my parents and giving us his suggestions.
yes. i like this place. even if no one else does. and it gets 5 stars for the salmon.
