I have given this location the benefit of the doubt several times but after today I feel like it's better to make others aware of what they may walk into at this particular location.
Like many beauty stores it is crowded with long lines yet this location the workers can be quite unhelpful. Several times have I seen women and men try to get helpful tips or suggestions on beauty regiments yet they are left in the dust. I've actually had customers ask me for help rather than employees... this is a beauty store where we, as customers, come in for help or get our product... don't expect too much from this place.
They are also very stickler on their coupons and carefully read the stickers for their sales because I've seen customers leave when the employees deny them without any other helpful options or suggestions. *** Also, bring in your birthday coupon, unlike Sephora where they have you the system, Ulta physically requires you to bring in Birthday coupon. The manager made me phone call customer service where she told me they would help get the email w/coupon out within 10 mins... it took an hour and a half... all I wanted was just my free little gift since I spend a lot of money here... they don't make it easy and I was almost in tears. They don't care.
Today I went in to find this foundation stick advertised on Ulta.com only to find that they don't carry that product at their location. Instead of allowing me to find my second choice of product this employee gave me the run-down on her background as a mua in defense that I only mentioned I saw this product online and wondered why it wouldn't be in an Ulta store. She made me feel very dumb about makeup and if I didn't agree with her suggestions , because she is a mua, that my desired look was impossible without "her" suggestions.
Look I'm all about suggestions but she came as very defensive like I was challenging her background but I wasn't.
I left for the 3rd time pretty disappointed.
I'm looking more to the other location at Tempe Marketplace where they are extremely opposite of this location.
If you want to either be ignored (which I saw two customers today being ignored) or pushed into a corner or just being treated rude then come here. If you want to look at makeup with dirty and empty testers and backstock or they don't carry the products they advertise, then come here. Lots of attitude here and now three of my girlfriends have witnessed all of this treatment at this location.
So I tried to be fair and kept going back but no... the parking is terrible too and with the stress of finding a parking spot then going into store to experience more stress... yeah my time is better spent elsewhere. I put this out here just to warn you that it's not always pretty when your ugly on the inside. Storefront looks nice but once you walk in... well you decide.
