  • A great way to spend some time in the city while get a rich history of it at the same time. The museum is built right on top of a part of where Montreal was founded. Upon entering you watch a past to present audio visual of key points in Montreals history which runs about 10 minutes. From there you are welcome to explore about yourself or join in with a tour guide which I recommend. Going through just as with any museum, if it's your thing, you'll be fascinated to learn about how things were done, conflicts were settled and the people who were factors in the historical make up of the city. Lots to see, many of which are interact able and good for kids too. The museum can be complete in maybe a little over an hour, more of you're a history buff, take the tour and take pictures. The admission is slightly high but I'd say it's a good experience.
