The hotel rate - 4 stars. The upcharges for everything else? - 3 stars. I got a killer deal on a 2 night stay via the "sportsmans" rate by calling the hotel directly. The local rate wasn't advertised on the spg.com website and was $90 less than the lowest advertised rate online.
Try to get a lakeview room. The view is amazing and it was nice to see the sail boats idly sailing in the harbor.
Parking is pricey. They charge $40 a night with in and out privilages. However they charge by the night so that's convienant if you are planning on arriving earlier than checkin and not leaving the area until well after checkout. There is a private parking lot right next to the hotel in the alleyway on the pier. It's not secure nor is it attended outside the hours of 6 pm - 6 am and you have to give your keys to them. On the upside it's only $20 a day. I opted for the valet since I am down to one set of keys for my car. If you don't mind a short walk, you can get to Union St TTC station very easily from the hotel.
