| - I'm fond of old theaters for the nostalgia factor if nothing else, but, also because many of these show spectacular classics or independent movies.
This one just happened to be showing Alfred Hitchcock flicks and one I hadn't seen, "Rope".
I had a great seat to view the film on the big screen and twas comfy throughout.
Cons to the experience:
No cup holders. Yeah, yeah, I can live with that as it is an old theater.
Popcorn was totally bland as if completely devoid of any salt (not noticed until movie started so, needless to say, did not tend to it)
The 3 staff members (2 behind the counter) and the ticket taker were not in a jovial mood, to be certain. The counter staff were odd, apparently on purpose. They just kept pointing to things instead of talking. Whaaa??? For instance,
1) I missed seeing the ticket taker all together as the stand is off to the right as you enter and I had my eye focused straight ahead to the concession stand. I thought they must be taking tickets, but, no, they both pointed without saying anything until I got the message that they were pointing to the ticket taker (who didn't speak, just took the money and gave me the ticket). Ok...
2) I wanted to know the sizes of small/medium/large popcorn containers and, again, they simply both pointed to the bags displayed. Ok....
3) I wanted to know the sizes of the small/medium/large soft drink cups and, again, they pointed to the display. Geez... funny guys...
