| - Crackin, straight up! Even at 2am! The walk their is so scenic, hah, even though it's inside.
Drinks: I was celebrating my just-turned-alcoholic birthday, so of course I did things big. Perhaps too big. Pukey big. But nonetheless, drinks were good and the bartender was nice. I got an AMF, then a screwdriver, then a tequila sunrise. Whoop! I was gone by then. Seeing stars!
Music: Such good song picks and transitions! They played all my jams that night. I was looking forward to DJ Jazzy Jeff or Biz Markie spinning, but they had this other DJ spinning on Sundays. The only bad thing about the DJ was that he would shout stuff over the tracks sometimes. "Detroit in the house?!" No one's from Detroit, homie! Just shut up and let the songs play!
Crowd: What a welcoming crowd. Soon as I walked in, this beezy grabbed my arm and used me as an anchor to back her booty into a guy in a wheelchair! Classic! There's some straight up business-lookin ppl with their bluetooths who are amusing. I mostly like this place because it's people of color getting their party on, and NOT some pale-skin folks gettin super drunk and causing drama. Ppl were getting doowwwnn!
Location: Place is kinda small, but it's better than those huge clubs that fit 1,000+ ppl. NICE LOCATION PLACEMENT, though. It's located waaay back in the forum shops, so you have to walk all the way back there to get to it. Pretty slick of them to put the club there, just so that only who ppl know about it can find it, and it wouldn't attract ppl who are just searching for a party. AND before you can get into the forum shops you have to get past a security guard and bouncer who ask you where you're going. It's good they're keeping this lil gem hard to find.
Go to Poetry. Get your drink on. Dance to chill hip hop. Scope out the crowd. S'all good, baby baby.
