| - I've come to Eno Vino for few years now and it honestly is one of my favorite restaurants in Madison. The experience ranges anywhere from a two to a four star rating. My most recent experience was a two and it was extra disappointing because we were here to relive our first date on our two year anniversary.
The ambiance of the place is great. Classy looking inside. Depending on where you are seated, you can be placed in a warm, friendly, and open environment inviting to a large group, or a more secluded setting that would provide more of a feel for a date.
This is a tapas place, so you will be getting small plates. The flavors arent too bold and there is some great variety. The food can be hit or miss, but, for those that are a hit, I truly believe they surpass the let down of the miss. The menu does partially rotate so if you came here you will be presented with new options, while the classic options will hang out.
The service could be improved. The wait staff never impresses me when coming here, average at best. Last time, our waitress did not seem very knowledgable about the dishes on the menu nor the wine list. She also did not check up on is at the appropriate times.
The last time we were here, we were seated in a spot where cold air was blowing on us continuously from a vent. It was cold outside and this felt very unwelcoming. We asked to be moved and despite the restaurant being completely empty we were only allowed one option of where to move. Keep in mind we are trying to celebrate an important event here. What's interesting is that three other couples who were seated after us asked to be moved also. Eno Vino needs to fix that immedately and not use the table until fixed.
