| - I had purchased a coupon for myself and a friend for Shellac mani/pedis. On arriving to the salon, we had got there 15 mins early. The receptionist seemed a bit annoyed at our "punctuality" and told us to take a seat an wait. 30 mins later....we were still waiting. What ended up with us being early ended up with them being late. My friend went up to the front desk (which was being covered by another girl) and inquired on when our appointment would likely begin. She curtly told her, without any apology, that it would be a few more minutes. Honestly, what is the point of making an appointment? Ten minutes later we finally were told to take our seats for our pedicures. My friend's esthetician introduced herself and asked her her name and asked what colour she wanted. My esthetician, did not even acknowledge me, introduce herself or make me feel like a valued customer. I felt like she was rushing through my appointment. Even at one point hurting me when working on my cuticles. I told her that she was hurting me and she did not even apologize or again, even acknowledge! By the time I was done my pedicure and told to move to another area for my mani, my friend was still having her feet looked after. Even getting a massage (which I didn't even get)! My mani basically went the same way. I did not like the fact that she pushed my cuticles back and did not trim them (which I'm used to at other nail salons). She finished my nails and I ended up sitting next to my girlfriend waiting for her appointment to be finished (which was 30 mins later) and again, she got a massage and what I feel the full complete service. At the end of the day I felt I was totally short-changed and disappointed. My friend and I did speak with the manager/owner of the salon and complained of the "discrepancy" in service. All the manager said was "thank you for telling me".
I enjoy getting my nails and feet done. It's a nice treat and indulgence that should be relaxing, comfortable and fun! My experience at this salon however, was none of that. Even though I was a "coupon" customer, I feel like I should have still been treated like a valued customer. Word of mouth travels fast and negative experiences even faster. I will not be recommending this salon and will not be a returning patron. There are so many other nail salons which are probably cheaper and have much higher and consistent customer service.
