Arrived today to look at an Avalanche listed on a website. Vehicle not there. It was in their Salt Lake City lot. Low Book Sales does not negotiate their prices (I knew that) but wanted to know what they would offer on my trade. It took me three times to explain this to a "manager" who insisted on telling me that they don't negotiate the price of their vehicles. When I finally got him to understand what I was wanting to know he asked to see the vehicle. I asked him how long it would take since I was on my lunch hour. He told me to forget it and come back when I had more time. I told him that the only reason to come back would be to see the vehicle that they advertised and since it wasn't there then I didn't see a reason to come back. Now this is when it went from disappointing right to..."You have got to be kidding me".
He said if I paid $100 he would request to have it shipped from SLC to Vegas. Really? He wants me to pay them to ship a vehicle to Vegas so that I can decide if I like it or not?
No thanks! It reminded me of why used car salesmen get a bad reputation. They checked all of those boxes....
