Even traveling this trail in the hot Summer month of June is a treat. Just make sure you pack lots of water for a couple reasons
1. You won't really see any water on this trail during summer.
2. It's hot. Like REALLY hot.
The trail itself is fairly flat most of the way and marked with green spray paint to help keep you on the trail. We stayed to the left when the trail split and made our way toward the greenery. We found ourself walking along the creek as we got further in and found a little pool of water below the trees and some large rocks.
We saw wild flowers, geckos, grasshoppers, and frogs. They may have been toads? I don't know. I'm not a biologist.
It was a beautiful area to explore and I would recommend it to anyone of any skill level.
