Here's the debrief. Sought out pain clinic close to home. This review pertains specifically to the Las Vegas Pain Institute on Duango and the 95. All procedures were conducted appropriately. The staff was very unprofessional though. On two ocassions the medical assistant forgot to check vitals and then, with little to no regard, proceeded to enter the room where I was already in conversation with my medical provider. This is a blatant violation of the HIPPA laws.
Now, the Spring Valley Surgery Center--same complex--conducted the procedures, to no avail. But, the facility was unkempt, especially the pre-op area and worse yet, the actual operating room. On my 2nd visit to the O.R., there was an actual orange Home Depot plastic bucket underneath the O.R. table. It was filled with the soiled bandages from previous patients' procedures. I couldn't believe it! And if all that wasn't enough there was, during my 1st visit while in the pre-op area, either a cockroach or cricket scurrying about the floor. I notified the staff but they actually indicated that they weren't interested in it's removal.
The entire facility felt like a "chop shop" for Medicare/Medicaid recipients. The VA's internal investigation department is currently conducting a review of the facility. I'm considering filing a complaint with the Southern Nevada Health District and/or Nevada's Department of Health and Human Services. Buyer beware.
