  • I'll start by saying that my family isn't raw vegan, nor do we go out of our way to always eat vegan. However, we have sensitivities to dairy and gluten so restaurants like Pomegranate Cafe appeal to us because we always leave feeling great and never wake up the next day feeling sluggish or with a tummy ache. That being said, we have tried many vegan and vegetarian restaurants and Pomegranate Cafe offered a lot of unique and delicious options that we had never encountered! Here's what we thought of everything we ordered! --Buffalo Chicken Wrap (with cauliflower option): VERY spicy but had good flavor! Definitely not even remotely similar to the tradition buffalo flavor so I was a bit disappointed, but overall it was filling and satisfying! I ordered the salad on the side and LOVED the sunflower ranch dressing. I wish i could have that on every salad!! --Lumberjack biscuits & gravy: The gravy was great for having no dairy in it, but the biscuits were a bit dry. Hash on the side seemed to have the same extremely spicy seasoning as the buffalo chicken wrap, but was still yummy! Farm scrambled eggs weren't really seasoned or fluffy. --Pancakes: Delicious! It's amazing that they're gluten free because they were so fluffy and had a completely normal pancake texture, whereas many gluten free pancakes are heavy and dense. We were so impressed! --Magic Dragon Bowl: Super yummy smoothie bowl, a bit heavy on the banana in my opinion, which masked most of the other flavors, but that's just nit-picking. Overall it was a delicious bowl! Service could have been better (-1 Star). It took a while for us to be acknowledged after being seated and the server only came to refill our waters once or twice. But our server was friendly and upbeat when he did come to the table which is a huge plus! The prices are also fairly high compared to many other "health-food" restaurants, but we appreciate that they source their food from completely non-GMO and almost entirely (98%) organic farms and vendors so that wasn't as much a problem for us. We're willing to pay for that peace of mind. We also tried a few desserts! The cookie dough brownie was great but SUPER rich! I could only tolerate a few bites, but it was so good! The cupcake we tried was a bit dry and crumbly, I probably wouldn't buy that again. The strawberry rosemary scone was incredible! It pairs perfectly with tea, it's a must-try!
