  • Self proclaimed mac & cheese lover here. Can't believe I just heard about this place now... and I live down the street *palm to forehead* After drooling over all the Yelp pics, I hit up the Mac Shack and ordered the Smokehouse mac, shrimp scampi and garlic bread. LOVED! the Smokehouse. So freakin' good with those bacon bits (which were plentiful btw) and, I'm a sweets lover as well, so the cheesy sweet bbq sauce was so money. Shrimp scampi was a little sour/acidic. The first bite was an intense, weird flavor rush. That sauce was not good... but okay enough for me to eat the pasta and dip the bread stick in. I liked the mini shrimp. Garlic bread was alright. Nothing spectacular. You can totally go to Albertsons, buy the bread and make it yourself. It was very soft though. Not super garlicy. This place gets my stamp of approval, but how can you call yourself Mac Shack and only have 5 mac & cheese dishes?? I plan to try Asiago mac or Crazy Alfredo next time.
