| - I buy a few things here I can't get at other stores. This particular location is going through a renovation so hopefully what issues I have will be resolved. Speaking of all Walmarts, 3 out of 5 grocery carts are inoperable. I don't care what state you go to. The conveyor belts at checkout at this market are saggy so loading the contents of your cart onto the belt is sketchy. While this company and its' subsidiaries rake in billions daily, and the family is listed among the who's-who billionaire list, you'd think more attention to details would be paid. Can't wait to see the improvements when all is said and done.
As of the last six months, I must show my receipt at the exit like Costco, or like a common criminal. They only seem interested in what's not bagged...like the gallons of distilled water I buy on a regular basis. Otherwise, the store is well-stocked and carries most major brands.
I've been hit-up for change more than I'd like. They see me pulling in and start bee-lining to me. I see them coming across the lot. Mostly with "I need bus money." Hello! You should already have bus money when you leave your house. I know it's the excuse they think people want to hear, that may give them a better chance. One young man hits me up all the time. I ask what he does for a living. He said, "This."
On one occasion, another young man asked if I would buy him something to eat. I said, sure.
I head to the deli counter but he wanted a 2-liter soda and chips. I got in the line and when I turned around, he was gone. The checker asked if I knew him. I said no. She said he does this all the time, and brings the items back for cash. Well, that's a round-about and creative way to get money. Hmmm...wonder how long it took to come up with that?
