I don't know of other places in Vegas that has dondurma so, being the only option for this Turkish treat, I'm hoping Marash would stay afloat. This is located at the Bazaar Shops outside Bally's.
I don't mind watching people get teased before they get to eat their ice cream. But if I were in their shoes, I would not be too happy and I'd probably walk out. Do not play with my emotions by playing with my food and delaying my enjoyment of eating it.
A friend and I came here on a regular Vegas summer afternoon. We don't function too well when we sweat. The Bazaar Shops being open and uncovered, we just wanted the process of getting ice cream to be quick and painless. I was not in the mood for fluff and a show.
I tried mango but I wasn't a fan. So, I went with my go-to flavors: chocolate hazelnut and pistachio. Dondurma isn't known to be too sweet and that's what you could expect from Marash. But the mastic was no match for the Vegas heat so, my ice cream melted right away. The chocolate hazelnut had peanuts and not hazelnuts. The Turkish pistachio was a delight though.
