  • Shadow Lake is such a beautiful place. I come here on days when I don't feel like going out to lunch. There are some cool animals that are around and usually some people fishing. A raccoon hangs out in the garbage can daily, so seriously, be careful with what you throw away. You may get the scare of your life! There is a nice half mile trail that circles the lake. A lot of bugs hang out in the bushes so it is peaceful to listen to them make their little noises. Poor cicadas. I think they are already dead. They hide underground for up to 17 years to rub their little wings together to attract a mate, get laid and die in a few weeks. I find myself similar to a cicada. Just a little more grand of scale.
