| - Why 4 stars? Because maybe I just got lucky with a great room?
--- --- ---
I recently stayed here during a work conference and see below that many of my colleagues have done the same over the years. I see that one of the common complaints was that there were super thin walls and that everything outside of you room could easily be heard. I even heard a story from one of my colleagues who mentioned that she heard loud shower singing next door while she was getting ready. As hilarious as that is, if you're a light sleeper, you probably wouldn't find it that funny.
But I'm a super deep sleeper. And I also got a corner room, so I heard nothing outside of the peace and serenity of my own thoughts.
My only gripes here are small - the AC was a bit inconsistent, despite always keeping it set to the same temperature. Sometimes it was quite lovely and cold just like I like it when I sleep, but in the middle of the night I'd wake up and it felt kind of stuffy.
Also, I've never been a fan of the half-glass shower wall. When the shower is open like that, it leads to more splashing, and more importantly, it doesn't keep the shower as nice & steamy as it could be. It wasn't bad, but I do wish we had the full glass wall/door.
Other than that - I have no complaints. The bed was super comfortable, the furniture and stylings were super nice & modern. And the location could not have been more convenient for us. I've always loved staying at the Aloft and this was no exception!
