  • For our annual Vegas trip - we decided to change things up and get closer to the hotel that was actually having events that we would be attending throughout the weekend. Bluegreen fit that bill. Pics looked nice and the overall hotels.com rating (which is BS) seemed where we wanted to be. I dropped my hubby off @ the hotel front entrance or was it the back entrance or one of only two entrances? He was mildly pressured to attend the sales meeting for the timeshares. Having learned first hand from our parents difficulties with time shares in the past we declined. I went to look for the underground/covered parking. No such thing. It's this random - haven't a clue if its security monitored. So it's a random first come, first serve parking lot. All of the mini shops take up front row parking. And lots of 15 minute parking only spots. So prepare for a trek to the entrance. Once inside there is an overwhelming plug in, renuzit, scentsy smell. Disgusting. Overpowering. Choking. Seemed odd. Once you pass the front desk, get a snack because it is another long ass trek to the elevators. The elevators to all rooms are located smack dab in the middle of the hotel. If you have a lot of luggage, bring your pack mule because this is ridiculous. On the very last day we saw a luggage valet. No one from the hotel was manning it so I think it was if you found one you could use it but never delivered to your room. Or helped checking out. So we were lucky enough to be on the third floor over the top of several restaurants. A Subway, a wood fire pizza joint, a hookah lounge and a stop and rob. When we werent avoiding steel plates peeling up from the floor in between hall ways, or a room freshener gone awry we finally met our room. The room smelled of wood fire bologna. It was so disgusting. My hubby who is the most easy going person in the world couldn't stand the smell. We asked to be switched and were told that the resort was at capacity. OK. But they would send someone up to spray the room. Very young kid arrives and tells us that the mixture he has is water and some sort of cleaning spray. This now makes the room smell like lemons, wood fire and bologna. And makes the tile floors slippery. He then tells us that he is going to come back with the industrial strength spray. That works for three minutes. He says that they get a lot of complaints from the side of the hotel. We confirmed this with the cleaning staff. They said it was from the restaurants. We called for pillows three times. I finally went to the front desk and asked how many times we have to call for pillows. There was no "sorry" there was no "let me remedy this". Instead this rude, condescending female at the front desk wanted to fight. "Well you didn't speak to me" I understand this properties hiring process. Look at their prior job experience and make sure that they have none. You are instantly hired. No customer service skills = all the better. It doesn't matter who the hell I spoke with make it right. She did tell me that after a certain hour that housekeeping "wasn't available." WHAT???!!! The cable tv remote had to be fixed. My husband did that. We called for a tech and then cancelled it but he came 45 mins later anyway. Waste. Such a communication issue. It was a miserable stay. The fight with the front desk clerk pushed me over the edge. What a shame. I will never say nice things about this place.
