  • I used to own a Honda Accord (bought in Florida) way back when. About five years ago, I traded it in for a Hyundai Sonata. I loved both cars. Recently, I was in the market for an SUV and my boyfriend suggested I take a look at the CRV first before returning to Hyundai. I think he had an ulterior motive as he was in the market for a Honda Accord...lol. My experience at Right Honda was fine until I sat down with the salesperson and the guy that approves everything. After looking and test driving, the sales person said, "Let's go sit. I'm going to give you an offer you can't refuse!" Before we could even discuss price, etc., the numbers guy came over and we went outside to take a look at my trade-in. I knew roughly what my trade-in was worth (lowest $6,350; highest $8,500) after looking at KBB.com. The numbers guy asked what I was looking for, and I told him around $7,000 or $8,000. He said maybe $5,000 but would take a look at the numbers. Knowing that $5,000 was not a fair offer, I decided to humor him and see what they came back with. The "offer I couldn't refuse" that was given to me was not even an offer! They offered to give me $3,000 for my trade-in and barely reduced the price of the CRV. WHAT A JOKE!!! I grabbed my keys and started to leave; of course, they stopped me. They got the trade-in offer up to $5,500, which still was not a good offer. I don't even remember what they offered for the price of the CRV, but I do remember it wasn't that great. Once the salesperson figured we were going to walk out, he played the "I spent so much time with you" card. Really? It's his freaking job!!! That's when I knew Right Honda was not getting my business. Not only did that comment piss me off, but we spent over an hour going back-and-forth on the pricing. I know it's much longer than I should have stayed, but I was truly interested in purchasing a Honda. I ended up getting a Hyundai Santa Fe Sport at Earnhardt Hyundai right down the street. I was in and out of there in a little over an hour. They immediately came back with a smoking offer for my trade-in and a good price on the vehicle. I was not forced or being coerced into buying a vehicle from them. Right Honda can learn a lot from Earnhardt Hyundai about what excellent customer service looks like. One of the associates at Right Honda doesn't even know how to respond to an email respectfully. My boyfriend emailed the highest person he saw listed on their web page, and the respond he received was something along the lines of, 'you sent this to me because...' That's when I decided to post a review on Yelp. This is actually my very first review. It's a shame this isn't a good one. Not only did Right Honda lose my business, but they also lost my boyfriend's business. I realize that losing two customers won't hurt them, but maybe this review will. We now call them Wrong Honda!
