  • During a recent visit to Madison Wisconsin, me and some friends were a bit buzzed from the New Glares Bacon, Beer & Cheese Fest. We walked around the Capital building for a bit a bumped into this place that seemed very lively on a late Saturday afternoon. Walked inside and there was a bit of a wait so we grabbed some space at the bar for our group of 6...4 of us had to stand as there were 2 seats available. Since the place is called Old Fashioned, we assumed they made pretty good old fashioned cocktails. I went with the bourbon old fashioned which was pretty good. My buddy got an old fashioned with a boiled egg inside which I thought was quite interesting. After maybe 20 minutes we were told me can have a seat as a table became open. I ordered the wood grilled chicken breast sandwich that came with bacon, swiss, mayo and dijon mustard on toasted bread....side of fries were included. Pretty good sandwich! Good spot to hit up when in Madison!
