| - Most places I go, I go for the food, the drinks, the service, OR the ambiance (assuming at least one of them to be top-notch). At Fez, ALL are top-notch, and able to be enjoyed at a reasonable price.
First the ambiance - Fez is known for "Modern Moroccan" cuisine, and the designers went through pains to make the restaurant reflect a contemporary, cultural aesthetic. Colors are bright, lighting is subdued, seating is very open - and having lived in Chicago and traveled extensively, Fez has all of the style and panache of a NY/Chicago hotspot, but with more of a colorful, energetic LA/Miami feel.
The food AND drink are exceptional (lunch and dinner fare are most popular, but Fez has a relatively undiscovered Saturday brunch menu that is fantastic as well). High points are the Fez Burgers (unbelievable, I assure you), and salads, along with any and all of their signature martinis ("Patrontini" ought not to be missed).
Last, service and price are wonderful as well. For dinner prices, entrees range from $11-18, and drinks are somewhere around $10 for a signature martini, $6.50 for a margarita, $4 for beer - But at Fez your dollar goes a long way (Compare the quality of an $11 Fez burger with something of comparable taste in Chicago/NY/Miami, or LA, and it would cost you $15-25 - Trust Me!). If their dinner menu sounds a bit steep, stop by on Tuesdays before 6 for $5 signature Martinis and $5 dinner specials (not to be missed!)
Seriously, just go to Fez. I'm confident you won't regret it.
