i've been to HOB a lot of times in LA but this is my first time in LV. we went here for the gospel brunch, which is an all-you-can eat buffet accompanied by live gospel music. lemme tell you: i love gospel music. i don't know why, exactly, but i love the energy and soulfulness!
their waffle and pancake station was great. the mini-waffles are my all-time favorite of the meal. mmm, pair it up with fried chicken and it's a match made in heaven. especially if the chicken is all you can eat AND positioned strategically between the cheesy grits and old bay boiled shrimp! those were the real stars of the brunch in regards to savory food. they also have meat carving stations (this time it was smoked turkey and marinated flank steak), a dessert station, build-your-own bloody marys, unlimited bellinis and mimosas/beer (sorry, didn't partake).
entertainment was fun and touching. st. paul's children choir performed and their voices carried strong. coupled with the energy and audience participation, this event turned out very well.
