  • One of our units went out this past Thursday before a weekend of temps reaching 117. Consolidated Mechanical was dispatched by our home warranty company American Home Shield. They were scheduled to come out Friday between 1 and 5. As 6 rolled around, we started making plans to leave our home for the weekend as it wouldn't be habitable without AC at the forecasted temps. Around 7, Art from Consolidated came to the door. He had the unit fixed (fan motor, and a bad relay) in an hour on a Friday night and surely after hours for him. Good service techs are hard to find, especially those that are willing to work after hours on a Friday. I'm so grateful to Consolidated and American Home Shield; but especially our Consolidated tech Art, for saving our weekend and a lot of stress by honoring the appointment during an impossibly busy time and having the skills to fix the issue on the spot.
