| - Gallagher's holds a special place in my heart because I have dined here numerous times with my husband, usually in celebration of a special occasion. Situated on a "street corner" inside the NYNY, a few steps from the casino floor, this establishment is based on a restaurant of the same name in NYC. There is a bar that you can sit at either inside or outside, and that is where we sat on our most recent visit.
Previously, we have eaten inside, and it is classy joint. There is a usually a hostess dressed in black who will escort you to your table. After being seated, you will meet one of the most professional waiters or waitresses ever and he or she will be your guide to all things Gallagher. The service here is pretty impeccable and you will realize, as we have, that the individuals who work here are dedicated to providing a quality dining experience.
I have only tried their signature steak and the salmon (just once on this last visit). The salmon was good, but I am still kicking myself for wasting a Gallagher's visit and not having a steak. It is the best I have ever had there. Sides are always great as well. Personally, I like the asparagus and the cheesy mashed potatoes. I usually lead with an heirloom tomato and hearts of palm salad, which is a great mix of flavors and textures. I've also had the shrimp and grits just once, and it was awesome.
Sitting at the exterior bar, we still had great service and food without the frills of fancy dining.
I definitely see myself visiting Gallagher's in the future with my awesome husband and maybe some friends or family. If you are considering it, definitely try it out.
