| - Despite a few quirks, I liked this hotel and would happily stay here again when in Montréal.
The staff was courteous and efficient and the room was spacious and clean.
I highly recommend buying a lunch nearby, and eating on the terrace at the top of the building.
Quirks:
1. Parking is an adventure. The ramp is very narrow and steep, and turns in an awkward fashion, and there are many pipes and other utilitarian items suspended from the garage ceiling (the staff asked whether our vehicle was over 6 feet in height). The first time, riding down into the parking garage was kinda fun, but the tell-tale scrapes on the walls made me wonder how less confident drivers might cope. Indeed, during our stay, I observed another guest remove the luggage rack from the roof of his car (a Hummer H2) to avoid things hanging from the ceiling of the garage.
2. Getting to this location by car is a bit tricky, owing to Montréal's arrangement of one-way streets. This is not a big problem, but one needs to spiral in to the front of the hotel.
3. This may be really picky, but I found it difficult to get a newspaper in the morning.
