| - I was Dr. Falkner's patient in 2012. She's in the medical center on Stephanie St and Galleria Dr in Henderson. There's no sign for her on the outside of the building just a sign that says "Back Pain Center." You have to go in the building and take the elevator up to a different floor to find her. Dr. Falkner herself is incredibly kind and patient. I liked that she looked me in the eyes when she talked to me and she talked to me like I was a tiny injured baby deer or something LOL she's very comforting and soothing.
A couple of things happened to me here that made me never want to go back to her.
1) I came in for an appointment to take a "tissue sample" from my cervix. On the phone, the receptionist didn't really explain the process. I just figured it was like a regular pap, like a skin-scraping or something. NOPE... it was a freakin' punch biopsy. If you've never had a punch biopsy, they lay you down on a table, insert a speculum into your vagina, and use what looks like a paper hole-puncher to take a chunk out of your cervix. FYI, Dr. Falkner, it's incredibly PAINFUL. You may want to warn people or start putting them under because it is AWFUL and BARBARIC. So she does this to me and I'm laying there crying and shaking and she casually mentions..."Oh, by the way, no sex for 30 days".....10 days before my wedding. So Dr. Falkner basically ruined my wedding night.
2) I ended up having laser surgery and a couple of weeks later I went to Dr. Falkner for a follow-up check. The nurse took me back to the exam room and told me to undress and put on a paper gown and wait for the doctor. I sat in there naked for an hour and 15 minutes and finally gave up and got dressed and walked out. I don't know if she got busy or what but imagine sitting in a room naked for an hour and fifteen minutes...just watching the door...wondering when someone will come in. It was miserable and humiliating. Oh, and the best part is the exam rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, so the whole world can see you getting a papsmear.
She was very nice and did my surgery well but those two problems made me never go back to her. Maybe she's got things worked out now but what she did to me was unexcuseable.
