I am writing this review because I have always taken my dog to this place and they do an ok job. Let's just say you get what you pay for. Upon dropping your dog off you are greeted by one of the groomers and they ask how you want your dog cut. I showed up 10 minutes early to my 1pm appointment and its is now 1:10 my dog is still in the cage and has not been seen yet. While I am waiting for him to be seen they were working on a poodle who is on a very short leash it looks like it is being choked and tortured by the male groomer with long hair. The dogs in the cages look like they have been through some sort of traumatic event that went on while their owners were gone. A few of the groomers were eating while cutting the dogs which to me is very disgusting and unprofessional not to say they are professionals but still very gross.I think while you wait it makes them nervous because they know they have to be more gentle while there is a witness there. At about 1:20 my dog has started getting groomed so far he has not whined but he is a tough dog. The woman who was working on my dog stopped to cut another dogs nails that did not even have an appointment and that took about 5 minutes. Once she finished with the walk in dog she began on my dog again,She looks like she is struggling because she can't man handle him the way she wants. She has finished the body of my dog. He looks good from a distance( today may be a good day for them because I have not heard too many dogs whining like they usually do when I come in here. I will be paying about 35 dollars for my 5 pound yorkiepoo which is a lot cheaper than any other place around Phoenix. At this point my dog is in the back with the door shut the only thing I can hear is the sound of wind coming from the back, this must be where they wash them and dry them Off and where they claim to express their anal glands but from previous experience that was not the case. There is a dog that peed right outside of one of the cages he was in and when someone saw it he cleaned it with a mop and I can still see residue there. They are talking about previous customers coming in and saying they ruined their dogs and how badly they were cut when they came in to be groomed. This is true I have had my dog cut plenty of times but they say it's only because they wouldn't let them work on them. FALSE!! From what I've seen most of these dogs are well behaved and will allow the groomer to do what they need to do. It makes you wonder what goes on while you are gone and your dog is here. It is now 2pmand my dog is still in the back. One of the lady's fed a dog a piece of chicken which she was eating for lunch! That is one thing you don't do feed a dog that does not belong to you! So my dog is finally done and the promise time was 3:30 and was done about 3:50. He looked good when he was done and had no cuts. So if you're willing to wait there and watch your dog get groomed they will most likely do a good job.
