I was crazy excited to go here. I love, love, love pasta. You walk in and it's cafeteria style but urban chic. Nice high ceilings and open layout is welcoming and clean. The girl helping me was nice bc it was my first visit there. I got the lunch combo with the mushroom soup and build your own pasta with wagon wheels and meat sauce.( yes wagon wheels made me giggle and feel kiddish but they really do hold the sauce well) okay back to the review. My food, the soup. It was a weird texture but I love soup and I love mushrooms. It was like they put mushrooms in a food processor and chopped the mushrooms up to little ground grain sized pieces. Like polenta or grits. Anyway it was tasty because I like mushrooms but weird at the same time. My pasta was a huge let down. Over cooked. I was eating mush. I felt like a baby or an old lady without teeth that needed get noodles to be mushy and fall apart soft...yucky. I'm a girl who likes my pasta aldente. I wanted to complain but I got over it because I was full from the soup and breadstick anyway. Ended up taking it home and trying to pawn it off on someone else.
So sad because the mac and cheese combos sound so good but not if my noodles are gonna remind me of paste not pasta.
Good place for large groups because you pay before you get your food, it's casual, people can get what they want and the place had an overall comfortable chill vibe.
