Gourmet Kitchens gets points in my book for being a kitchen knick-knack and small appliance store that isn't full of useless, faddy gadgets. Maybe it's a result of the small space (they've got a fair amount of merchandise propped up outside the entrance, too).
You won't find five different kinds of Margarita makers at Gourmet Kitchens, but there is a well-balanced selection of essentials and genuinely practical extras and indulgences; I got a pizza stone here, and it's turned out to be essential to getting the crust right on the odd occasions when I bake pizza at home--it even helps with frozen pizza.
