Went in on a Groupon. Nice receptionist and nice place. Was alarmed by the huge sign on the counter informing me that $35.00 was considered a minimum tip for this 45 minute service, and $65.00 was customary. Lots more alarms to come: The groupon included a $100 gift toward purchase and they recommended I use it toward a $150 hydration mask, leaving a $50 charge to me. This treatment was no more than an application of a product from a jar. I took less than one minute to do. I asked the technician did I understand this correctly and she confirmed. Next alarm was the pushing to buy their membership for which you get reduced prices on services. But the services are priced at least double everywhere else I have ever been. Also their skin care line is sold no where else in the world except on their website. The pricing on product is also sky high, like $180 for 1 oz. of serum. Also, why on earth is the facility called the INTERNATIONAL skin care institute when it is the only one of its kind?? Someone else here used the word fishy. Without a doubt. And according to the AZ Corporation Commission, there is one and only one agent for this company...a gentleman. Plus the business is categorized as BARBER AND COSMETOLOGY!
Too many question marks for me!!! Finally, I DID like the esthetician, Tisha.
