  • My "lil Rusty Bucket" (1974 V Dub) had been sitting for awhile. Since, I sold my other car this was going to be my only means of transportation. I needed to get the "lil Rusty Bucket" road ready. First, new tires then off to Sunset for an oil change, valve adjustment etc. One of my worries was the brakes & if needed to be replaced, it was going cost some $$$. I walked in and quickly was approached by M.D. I explained what I would like to have done and M.D. wrote up the request said he would make sure everything is taken care of and I turned over the keys. When I was beginning to walk toward the door he said that he would give me a call. Now, as we all know, that with auto service, when they say they will call, they never do! It's up to you to get a response by calling them. NOT HERE. I received a call later in the afternoon and was "thrilled" to be informed that everything went well and I DIDN'T NEED BRAKES"! Just an adjustment. WaHoooo! When my "lil Rusty Bucket" was ready, I went down to pick her up and drive her home. After I paid the bill, I jump in the seat and started her up. OMG! She purred like a "Kitten" ! I was over-joyed. I will not have a problem suggesting Sunset Auto Import Service to anyone who ask. M.D. and the rest of the staff was very friendly. Not pushy! Great work done in a timely manner.
