  • I have had to take my son here twice now (ER) and absolutely love this hospital! I can understand the frustrations people have about the wait time but you also have to be understanding that some children need to be seen before others due to the severity of their illnesses/symptoms. Our first visit we waited a couple of hours but my son enjoyed all of the toys and cool features they have in their waiting room. There was a woman going around with a clipboard asking those waiting if they needed anything like a blanket, coffee, tea or even a phone charger. I have never experienced that at any other facility we have waited at. I also appreciate the security checkpoint with the officers and metal detectors. Once your child is in their room they have a variety of kids movies and shows on the TVs. My son calmed down watching Cars in between all of his tests. Each area of the hospital they took us to for tests was clean. That's very important to me along with the care he receives. The staff were amazing and really do know how to work with small children. The one room I took him for a scan had different lights shining on the ceiling for him to look at and some music playing. It was a completely different experience than when we go to our local hospital. He was much more at ease. My second trip here was when my son was having a bad breathing flare up. They took him straight back to a room and got his breathing under control immediately. I had taken him to our local hospital earlier in the day and they recommended we travel here if he did not improve. The doctors, nurses and staff members are some of the best I have encountered. We will be going here for any of my sons medical issues here on out. Can't say enough good things about this place.
