I'm hoping to update my review once they iron out their kinks before the grand opening - but for now, my experience was poor enough that I felt compelled to write a review.
As a recent (one year) resident of the East End, I was super excited to visit the newly opened hotel, especially after the blitz of media it seems to receive within the past couple of weeks. Stopped by around 2:30 PM on a Sunday, we were told the wait for upstairs was 1.5 hours and put our names down. There was room in the lobby bar so we grabbed a table. We waited 15 minutes for a server to come over, despite her looking in our direction multiple times.
I understood - as they were busy. She threw down a food and drink menu and left. We waited another 15 minutes for another server to come back. We ordered drinks and a snack. She returned momentarily to let us know that the kitchen didn't open until 5. I pointed out that the menu read "11 - 5". She said it was a typo. I'm wondering why were even given a food menu.
We ended up excusing ourselves and going elsewhere. The space is beautiful but the service needs some serious work, especially at the current price points.
