  • I have had DirecTV for about two years since I moved. The ONLY reason I have them is the NFL Sunday Ticket, they offered it to my free last year, otherwise I would have bundled my internet and TV service from Cox. I was thinking about ordering the Sunday Ticket this year when they automatically started rebilling me for it in August, I figured what the hell, I'll do it. I have been dealing with all of the BS associated with my DirecTV service for the Sunday Ticket but today was the last straw. I started watching the games, went to the RedZone channel and there's nothing there, just a blank screen. I figured maybe there was some technical issue so I went online, tried to watch it there and see a message telling me my subscription doesn't include Redzone or Fantasyzone channels. WTF!?!? They charge you $300 for this and don't even include those channels, they were there last year! I looked it up and they want another $100 for those channels!! I'm done, I'll watch the games online. And they wonder why people are cutting the cord! Let me list the DirecTV issues: My box is amazingly slow and unreliable. It literally takes 5-10 seconds to change channels, so channel surfing it out of the question. If you are watching Sunday Ticket, you cannot swap screens if using PIP. Often if I pause a show, return and play it I can no longer rewind. The picture freezes when after rewinding a live show, the only way to resolve it is to change channels and go back to the original channel losing all of the content from when I paused. I travel a lot and cannot get half of my channels and none of my recorded programs. They were promoting 4k shortly after my install, I called to inquire and they told me I needed a different box that would cost $300 yet they have hardly any free 4k content! Netflix has plenty of 4k programs for $4 extra per month. There are other issues that I just can't remember now but I'll come back and update! I used to watch the NFL games online, it was very unreliable but every single season the quality and reliability has been better, after watching half of the games on DTV and the rest online for the first two weeks of the season, I'm convinced I can finally cancel them, don't they see what is happening? You would they they would be doing everything they can to retain customers.
