| - So I ventured to Monsoon on the kind recommendation of Hailey H. -- I'm glad I did. Also, it's super close to work and I had to work late last night and missed the CYME!!!
Anywho, I stopped in to get some Tom Kha Gai, a Thai beer, and I also opted for the Fresh Spring roll.
The soup, now this tasted a lot like what I am use to from my old fav San Diego spot... And they had a nice fish sauce to garnish my soup with.
The beer... why do I do this to myself... I can never, never, never, eva never drink Thai beers... ever since I was in my early 20's -- but still to this day I think otherwise... burp! Oh excuse me, how rude of me. But, nonetheless, I do love their beer.
Now the fresh spring roll... hmmmmmm... yes indeed fresh it was... but lacking. It was more fluff than substanance. The peanut sauce was yummy.
I also enjoy all the condiments, they were fresh and tasty.
The restaurant needs a good dusting... I couldn't stop staring at the dust pile on top of all the fake plants... people dust the fake plants--- that crap is floating all around the room and landing on my plate of food!! YUCK! AHHH CHOOO
Also, besides the dust, the prices really bothered me. For the location and city - I really felt the entree prices were way too high - In San Diego I never paid for over $9 bucks for veggie curry... really?
I will go back for the soup and maybe lunch, but for dinner, only if a date is buying! ha!
