Maybe a 2.5? They have upgraded with the remodel so I don't feel quite right rating it the same as its previous life as a Copps, but it was still a pretty disappointing experience. I only needed a few items for a recipe but ended up walking in a couple of circles trying to find what I came for. I won't bore you with the details but it wasn't in two logical places and when I consulted the store map hanging at the end of the aisles I was still directed to the wrong place by about five aisles. My guess is no one changed the map after the remodel.
In my circling I got sucked into the bakery area and ended up grabbing a couple bagels and a donut. The donut was a bismarck covered in powdered sugar; usually this yields a cream filling but this had custard. The dough itself was dry and the custard thin; it didn't have a lot of flavor save the powdered sugar.
The bagels are a horror show. They're round and have a hole in the middle, but bagels these are not. The texture is dry and bready and reminds me of the terrible freezer bagels of my youth. I tried wrapping it in a moist paper towel to heat some moisture back into it but it was no use.
Much like its predecessor this location will do in a pinch, but if I am planning to shop I'll head to another location.
