rev:text	We booked a Spa Tower Suite for 4 nights with the plan to invite our wedding guests to our suite for a reception after our wedding. In addition, we got a block of rooms at the GN for our wedding guests. A year before our wedding, we booked our suite online and then contacted the hotel to arrange the block of rooms. It was an absolute nightmare dealing with the GN. Supposedly the contract was mailed to us. Never got it, so I called and emailed our contact person, Barbara, multiple times over a 3 month period, but she'd never return calls or emails. Nobody else in her office would assist us. Finally I had to get very stern with someone else in her office to finally get the contract emailed. My other issue with the GN was that the max # on our room block was booked, but when one or two guests cancelled their reservation prior to the deadline, the GN kept the rooms, keeping other wedding guests from being able to book the rooms at the price we'd locked in with the block. The month before the wedding they were also unwilling to give us an update on the number of rooms that had been booked or were still available. Upon arrival at the GN's "VIP Check-In," we were treated indifferently, despite knowing we were there for our wedding, that we were spending $2000 on our suite, and that more than 16 rooms had been booked at their hotel by our wedding guests. In short do not recommend the Golden Nugget for your special event. Positives: we did love our huge suite--it worked out well for our reception--and the pool. The Bellhops were friendly and very helpful.
